Scandal of the Year: Michelle Obama privately sponsors small-town content creator's blog- Enough money to pay for college tuition?

Ivy and Bean Working Women and the Wolf of Wallstreet Edition.

The real question on the table, the dill pickle on the charcuterie board is this: Why would Michelle Obama, the inspirational, global role model that she is, sponsor a blog? Not a national blog, but this homey, quaint, yet-to-have-many-followers blog. How could something so seemingly insignificant to the greater public get recognition from someone so ground-breaking and remarkable?

We have but one answer for you folks. The American Dream. Come to the United States. Work hard. Strike it big. That is the dream sold by the dozens, packaged like nicely wrapped presents with red bows, as symbols that prosperity can come to all of those who are willing to fight for it. Sacrifice everything for it.

Did Michelle Obama sponsor this blog that you are reading here? The world may never know. But the truth is this: she saw something in us that no one else did. She saw the potential, saw the hidden story peaking between our words and sentences, little flicks of gold amongst the riverbank sand.

What we can tell you is this: It was not enough to pay for college tuition. That is why Ivy and Bean must strike it rich beyond their blogging extravaganza and find other supplemental forms of occupation, locally. At the heart of it, it's a Cerritos Summer. 1. this is inspirational, can you write more about the gold rush and how it connects as a Californian? does the lived history of those men who died for our sins haunt you, or does it inspire you to live each day to the fullest? do you feel even more connected when at knott's berry farm? What is your favoritest berry

    1. @ivy. Imagine this. I had been sick as dog for 2 weeks. Hadn't been to school in ages bogged down by some terrible cold and fever. I didn't know we weren't supposed to dress up to knotts that fateful day back in fourth grade. ok. Cowgirl hat, boots, faux leather jacket and all. And no one to relish in the glory with. I am proud to be an american where at least i know im free but even prouder to be a californian where at least i know my soil in the backyard prob had gold in it, innit.
